‘Strictly Come Dancing’ dance stars Natalie Lowe and Ian Waite have teamed up with six time world champion swimmer Mark Foster and a group of health and fitness professionals to produce a unique dance and fitness programme – ‘FitSteps’. They've combined the best known and most popular Latin and Ballroom dances with proven fitness techniques, to develop a dance/fitness programme that is capable of delivering fast fitness results, with a heap of fun thrown in!

• A great way to exercise without feeling like you're working out!

• Cover Ballroom and Latin dance styles with varied tempos

• Enjoy a wide variety of music

• No run-throughs before dancing each track - more continuous

• All classes 1 hour in duration

• Ample warm-up, stretching and cool down incorporated

• Sign-up required initially

Although it is a moderate to high intensity workout you can actually work at a level comfortable for you, especially in the early stages. Over the weeks, as your fitness improves and the steps become more familiar, you'll probably find you can push yourself a little more. I always try to offer variations in the steps to help you work at a level right for you because I know there will be people in the class of varying ages and fitness levels.

"(I) Enjoyed the class very much despite having apparently acquired two left feet!! Was really nice to do something more aerobic AND danced based - also loved your music choices! Very much looking fwd to next week"

Val, Angmering

"I joined FitSteps in January and it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for – fitness that’s fun.  Lisa is well organised, everyone takes it at their own pace and there’s a really friendly atmosphere. I have now invested in appropriate trainers and have taken to dancing round the kitchen in between FitSteps classes. Thanks Lisa!"

Sharon, Angmering

"I took Ballroom and Latin Dancing lessons for seven years, and always struggled to find a partner to dance with. FitSteps has solved this! Lisa's classes are fun, energetic and made very interesting with a mix of various dances per class."

Sylvia, Worthing

The Team

"FitSteps is a good way for me to follow two of my interests - keeping fit and ballroom dancing. The routines provide a variety of workouts based on dances such as the cha-cha, quickstep and waltz; they are great fun and are building in difficulty as the weeks go by. I look forward to my FitSteps class on a Monday afternoon and really enjoy exercising with such a friendly group of people."

Helen, Storrington

"Lisa clearly enjoys FitSteps and she passes on her enthusiasm to the class. We dance and workout at levels suited to the individual and everyone leaves the building totally energised."

Sue, Shoreham

FitSteps is for those who are more interested in improving fitness via dancing than learning to dance per se. All the Ballroom and Latin dance styles will be covered in the classes to provide a more moderate to higher intensity workout.

I strongly recommend that you bring water with you to class.

Most of the classes which are listed as full are not permanently full. They just get particularly busy at the start of each term, when a lot of new people join. Therefore, in due course, spaces generally do become available and you can sign up to a waiting list for any specific class.
